The end

Now that you have finished reading the story, what would you say are the most important messages from 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas'? What have you learned from reading the book?

  1. I think the most important message is that' One person can do something that destroys another person. And that what Adolf Hitler did to the jews and like in the book what Bruno's Fathr did to Bruno and his Family. And in the end it turned out that Father killed some-one he really truly loved in his heart and never cared about anything else. I have learned really alot from this book and it was a very moving book to. I learned that one person can make the world an evil and dreadful place. I also have learned that Adolf hitler was an evil, mean and cruel person who only thought about himself and not afters, And what was the most moving part for me was when Bruno and Shmuel first met at the fence and that they had a connection at the first sight.

  2. To me personally, I think the important messages from this book are not to judge a book by it's cover. This meaning as to even if someone has different beliefs, has different coloured skin, or may have a disability you still have to treat them as you would want to be treated.
Another important message that this book gives you is to not go by other peoples judgement. Thimk for yourself, you have a brain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. What i have learned from the book well first of all i have learned and so should have Adolf Hitler is that you can't hate someone for there religion because it is just wrong. The most important message was the end sentence saying that this is not happening at this time and age and it is but it SHOULD NOT BE! which is very dissappointing. SO STOP WAR AND BE PEACEMAKERS LIKE MARTIN LUTHER KING JUNIOR AND MAX KLBE AND IRENE MCCORMACK!!PLEASE

  4. I think one of the things is that you can't judge a book by its cover like the Fuhrer said exterminate all Jewish people. Also the sentence on The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas poster, lines may divide us, but hope will unite us.

  5. After reading the book i think the most imporant thing is that what they used to do to the jews and how they treated them and how father killed someone he loved so much and someone how was in his family. Father will never forgive him self for what he did. The most imporant sentance in the book is the last sentance, Of course all this happened a long time ago and nothing like that could ever happen again. Not in this day and age. The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas in a very good title for the book becausae it tells you what they had to dress in, and what they had to do because of there religion. I think it is not right to kill people because they are a Jew. I feel very sorry for the people who died because they were jews.

  6. The message from the story is one person can make a differance and this one man chose the final solution to kill all jews. One of the last lines of the book is "of course all this happened a long time ago and nothing like that could ever happen again.not in this day and age". We should all live by this line. And never let this happen again by standing for our own beleifs.

  7. The messages you get from this book are mostly treat people like you want to be treated no matter if they are disabled, gay, have a different skin colour, jew or any other religion and to speak up to any one who are doing things that you dont approve off.And no matter if they are good or evil one person can make a huge difference.

  8. I think that the most important messages are evil will triamph when good people do nothing, one person can make a differance and two heads are better than one.
From reading this book I have learnt that you need to stand up for yourself and no good comes from suffering.

  10. I think it is so bad and sad What Hitler was doing to the Jews but I realised that we have education and we can go anywhere we like and eat anything we like but Schmuel can't he is cramped up in this consentration camp. It must have been boring.!!

  11. I have learnt that the underlying message is that a child's innocence is the antidote to a world gone wrong. The author is a genius, he weaves so many concepts into one short but utterly moving story. I believe the author is trying to educate young people about the horros of this dark period in history by displaying a story of innocence confronted by a wall of blackness and iggnorence. Even though this is an immensly sad story it teaches us that we have the power to convince a generation that peace, equality and acceptance are the way of the future.
