  9. I would describe Grandmother as a strong women who says what she believes. Grandmother knows what his son and all the rest of Germany are doing to the Jews. I think everybody is just letting the Nazis do what they are doing but Grandmother sees through it and dosen't like it, there four Grandmother wants to stop it. She dosen't want to give father the satisfaction that he wants.

  12. I would describe Grandmother as a person who cares about the Jews and dislikes Father for the job he is doing and she is very disappointed with Father. Grandmother probably would be described as a kind hearted person.

  13. I would describe Grandmothers character as kind, sweet and a person who likes to speak her mind. She always likes to take part in conversations, arguments and play's with Bruno and Gretel. She thinks that what the Nazi's and her son are doing to the Jews are wrong and she is very disappointed in Bruno's Father. Grandmother get's very angry and annoyed when she is over and Bruno's Father comes out with his uniform on and Grandmother and Father gat into a fight.

  18. I think Grandmother is a person who is the party light as she always entertains people at parties. I think it was very brave of her to yell at the face of a SS oficer (her son) to tell him what she feels about her son doing and that it's not right and he should be ashamed. I think that if father told Adolf Hitler she would be severly punished

  19. The grandmother speaks against what is wrong and always has something to say. She stands up for what she believes in and knows what is going on with the jews and Hitler. the grandmother is not proud of her son as everyone else is and believes that he should not be happy and proud to be wearing his newly promoted uniform and that he has wasted his life by being a SS soldier. She is unhappy that he is her son and ashamed to have raised him. The grandmother is a good person who speaks her mind and is a good role model and plays a great role in the book

  20. I would describe Grandmother as someone who stands up for what they believe in and not act in a passive way. She is a fighter. She thinks all her hard work in raising Father has gone down the drain and it was all for nothing. She thinks that maybe she raised Father the wrong way and that is why he has become someone who takes orders from others. She thinks that Father should not be proud of his new position and should realize how bad what he is doing actually is.Grandmother believes that Father should not be proud of what he is doing and his new promotion and snazy uniform. She believes that everyone should be looking past all that and askthemselves 'why?' and'how is doing all this going to help Germany?'

  21. I think Bruno's grandmother knows what the uniform means and shames father for being proud of it. In the book grandmother says to father "Where did I go wrong with you?"

  22. Grandmother is a great character and she isn't scared of saying anything bad about Hitler. She stands up for what she believes in. she likes to sing and she is very fun.

  23. I would describe Grandmother as assertive and extremely integral. She stands up for what she believes at a great risk. She stood up and told her son, her husband and her daughter-in-law that they were passive and idiots. Even then she still loved her son even though he was a solider. Blaming her self for what he had become. She wasn't afraid to offend anyone calling her daughter "stupid girl" and ignoring her husband. Which at that point in time was a dangerous thing to do for a wife.

In the book there is a statement by Grandmother that goes like this, "the people you have to dinner at this house it makes me sick!" she is of course referring to Hitler and the" beautiful blonde woman" aka Eva Braun. This shows that grandmother is not afraid to defy Hitler.

  24. I think that Bruno's Grandmother is against what his father is doing and that she is great because she stood up for what she beleives in.Even though everyone else was against her she still stood up for herself. If there were more people like Bruno's grandmother the holocaust wouldn't have happened and all the Jews would have been happy. But there wasn't anough people that stood up for the Jews and that's why they got treated so badly for such a long time.Even after world war two and today there are still people that believe that all Jews are bad.

  29. i think that Bruno's grandma is true to say them things to her family because it true he should'nt do it to the jews.

  30. I think that the grandmother has the right to argue because it is not nice what the dad does and he sould stop it and stop killing the jews and i think bruno sould stay away from the proisen place. and stay out of site. but will the dad get argue at the grandmother. our will the dad quit but it's not easy for the dad to quit. But the will the mother help our not.

  31. I think that grandmother is a loving caring and great grandmother. It is absouloutally against Brunos father and it is brilliant that she stood up for what she believes in because not much people have the guts to.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think Grandmother is a very caring and friendly character in the book because she can stand up for the fury and what is wrong. And what Grandmother believes in is not bad because she is allowed to stand up for herself.
